These earrings are representative of what happens in the desert after a good rain. Desert flora have a way of laying dormant just below the top soil and when a rain comes, the seeds immediately bloom and the desert landscapes become colorful for just a few weeks or days. The gemstone that sits on top is the burst of color, the domed silver discs represent the seeds and the wires with triangles look like the jagged roots that grow underground. The inverted pyramid is the small vessel that captures the fallen rain drops and feeds everything happening above.
